Lindsey’s Closet
INTRODUCING LINDSEY’S CLOSET: We have apparel for our clients, for both minors and parents, and caretakers with custody or moving towards reunification. This project started with donations from our Panel of Attorneys and staff and has spread out into the community. We offer gently used items, except for all underwear items which is purchased brand new. We continue to seek donations for new items or gently used clothing, shoes, and accessories.
Please call (951)894-1857 if you would like to donate. We will pick up any donations. We do not seek nor will we accept financial donations. If you are a client or know of a client in need please contact the Client’s Attorney or Social Worker.
Educational Advocacy Program
The Juvenile Defense Panel has partnered with Pacific Coast Educational Advocates to thoroughly investigate the educational and personal needs of the minor by assessing the minor’s strengths, past successes, individual needs, school setting and effectiveness of interventions. Pacific Coast Educational Advocates work with the minor’s support system to create and monitor academic and behavioral plans to ensure the minor’s educational rights are being upheld and options are provided in order that the minor has every chance to succeed.
School Encouragement Program
Attorneys, social workers, county counsel, judges and court staff please nominate dependent and delinquent minors who have excelled in school or overcome a major obstacle in their lives. We offer laptops and gift certificates to these deserving winners.
Tattoo Removal Program
Minors serious about the removal of tattoos, especially gang related tattoos can get help from the JDP free of charge. Contact an administrator or JDP attorney for details.
